Residential Swimming Lessons are a great way for adults to learn to swim in a safe and peaceful environment.

Here at Southampton Swim School we offer intensive swimming courses designed to get any adult swimming. Our head coach at the swim school specialises in teaching adults of all abilities, so you will receive the best teaching possible to get you swimming and enjoying the water. Whether you are terrified of the water or just want to improve your technique, we are here to help you and have over 10 years experience in teaching adults, there is no swimming problem too big for us.

THE COURSES WE OFFER

Our intensive swimming courses are offered over either 3 days or 5 days and are perfect for the adult who has any of the following problems:

Is a complete non swimmer or can't swim very far
Is scared or lacking in confidence around water
Finds breathing difficult whilst swimming
Has poor technique
Gets back/neck/shoulder ache after swimming
Wishes to master a stroke
Wants to improve confidence
Has tried swimming lessons before and not succeeded
Wants to improve quickly, ready for a holiday etc.

Our intensive courses are different to any lessons you will have tried before. Every course is specifically designed to suit your exact needs and fitness level. We are so confident that we can get you swimming that we offer a complete aftercare service too, we will be here for you in the future, just in case you need any help after your course has finished.

ACCOMMODATION

If you need us to, we can arrange accommodation for the duration of your stay and have a lovely range of bed and breakfasts, hotels, hostels and even houses you can rent, we have something for every budget!

THE POOL AND CHANGING ROOMS

The pools we teach from are completely private, beautifully clean and perfectly heated. The pool and changing rooms are all yours for the time you are with us, only you and your teacher will be using the facilities, so that you have complete privacy to relax and learn.

THINGS TO DO

When you have spent the morning learning to swim and working hard, there is so much to do in the surrounding areas during the rest of your day. We are ideally placed between Portsmouth and Southampton and only a short ferry ride from the Isle of Wight. The Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays shopping centre are a fantastic way to spend your afternoon or take a stroll through the wonderful New Forest which is also not far away. There are beautiful golf courses near by to help you relax, or we can even help arrange fishing trips for you,so whatever your interests are we have all the information you need to make the most of your stay.
